Sanko

Sanko's chain closed on 27 February 2026. Its network address no longer exists in the internet's records and its explorer is gone.

DMT, the token that paid for gas there, survives as an ordinary token on Arbitrum. If you bridged out before the deadline, that is where your position is.

Sanko's own documentation still describes the chain in the present tense with no shutdown notice, which is why people keep trying to connect.

What you get out of the box

DMT holdings on Arbitrum
Records of assets bridged out before the closure
Historical Sanko records you exported
Manual entries where no export exists

Pick your import method.

Before you start

  1. Add your Arbitrum wallet. That is where DMT lives now and where anything you bridged out landed.
  2. Gather what you saved from Sanko itself before it closed.

On Kryptos

  1. Log in to Kryptos.
  2. Go to Integrations.
  3. Click Add Integration, then search for and select Sanko.
  4. Click the Sanko icon and choose Upload CSV.
  5. Upload the file. Kryptos reads it and categorises the transactions for you.

Good to know

  • DMT continues to exist on Arbitrum and is unaffected by the chain closing.
  • Users had to unbond from the chain's farming products and bridge out before the deadline.
  • The documentation site still presents the chain as running. It is not.

An orderly closure with a hard deadline

Sanko was a gaming network built on Arbitrum. Its operators wound it down on 27 February 2026 to concentrate on a different product, and gave users a window to get their assets out first.

That window is the important part for your records. People who acted had to unbond from the chain's farming products and bridge their holdings back to Arbitrum. None of those steps was a sale: unbonding returned your own assets, and bridging moved them between chains you control. What they do produce is a paired record, one leg on the closing chain and one on Arbitrum, for each movement.

People who missed the deadline are in a different position. The chain is gone, its network address has been removed from the internet's records entirely, and there is no way back in. That is a loss rather than a sale, and the closure date gives it a clean date, which makes it easier to substantiate than most crypto losses.

Either way, DMT itself is unaffected. It exists on Arbitrum as an ordinary token and continues to trade, so holding it is not a casualty of the chain closing.

One warning worth repeating: Sanko's documentation site is still up and still describes the network in the present tense, with connection details and no shutdown banner. It is not a reliable guide to whether the chain works. For how losses on inaccessible assets are treated where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Carrying your position to Arbitrum

Assets bridged out before the deadline landed on Arbitrum. That was a transfer of your own property, not a sale.

Accounting for anything left behind

Assets not withdrawn before 27 February 2026 are not recoverable, which is a worthlessness question.

Unwinding the farming products

Positions in the chain's farming products had to be unbonded first. Those steps returned your own assets rather than selling them.

Audit-ready, automatically.

Once your wallets and exchanges are connected, generating a tax report takes a single click. Open Reports from the menu, choose your jurisdiction, and download.

Bridging out was not a sale

Moving assets to Arbitrum before the closure transferred your own property between chains. Nothing was disposed of, though it leaves a record on each side.

Anything left behind is a loss question

Assets still on the chain when it closed are unrecoverable. Whether that is a deductible loss depends on where you file, and the closure date gives you a clean date to work from.

Unbonding was not a disposal either

Taking positions out of the chain's farming products returned your own assets to you ahead of the deadline.

DMT itself continues

The token exists on Arbitrum, so holding DMT is not affected by the chain having closed.

Read-only by design.

  • A file upload is read-only. Nothing connects to your account
  • Kryptos never asks for your password or login details
  • Delete an import at any time and its data goes with it
  • Keep the original file: it is your evidence if anyone asks later

If something doesn't sync.

My wallet cannot find the network

The chain closed in February 2026 and its network address has been removed from the internet's records.

The documentation says it is running

The documentation was not updated. The chain closed and the team moved on to a different product.

My DMT is missing

Check Arbitrum. DMT exists there as an ordinary token.
