IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS, YOU ARE EXPLICITLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SITE AND MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
1. Refund eligibility criteria
Our objective at Kryptos is to ensure customer satisfaction by providing premier services and exceptional support. We offer a non-paywall experience through our Freemium plans, allowing users to import accounts and review gains and tax liabilities before committing to a purchase for detailed tax reports. This approach aids in making informed decisions.
To request a refund, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Initial Refund Period: Request a refund within 7 days from your purchase date.
- Service Usage Limitation: Refunds are considered only if tax reports have not been downloaded, and if service issues or bugs are not resolved promptly by us in a reasonable time.
2. Initial refund period
The 7-day refund window starts on the day your paid plan begins. Weekends and public holidays count. To request a refund within the eligibility period, you must contact us before the window closes and confirm that no tax reports have been downloaded from your account during the window.
3. How to request
To cancel and request a refund, contact our support team at billing@kryptos.io from the email address on your Kryptos account, with your subscription invoice number in the subject. We don't need a reason, but feedback helps us improve.
4. Processing refunds
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. A fee equivalent to payment processor fees is deducted for transaction costs during refunds. Refunds typically process and appear in accounts within 5-10 business days.
5. Other scenarios where refunds are not accepted
Unable to use a specific integration on Kryptos. In the fast-evolving world of cryptocurrency, exchanges and API providers frequently update their systems. While we strive to stay on the cutting edge, adapting to these changes can take time. Before making any financial commitment, we encourage you to take advantage of our testing phase to ensure that our platform's integrations meet your needs. If you encounter issues with APIs or auto-sync functionalities, downloading CSV files from your exchange and uploading them to our platform is a practical alternative. Although we are continuously working to update and improve our integrations, challenges arising from these external changes are not considered valid reasons for a refund.
Warnings related to missing prices or purchase history. Encountering warnings about missing information can be a prompt for action on your part. These alerts often indicate gaps in the transaction data that need your attention. We strongly encourage you to use the testing period to familiarize yourself with how our platform identifies and handles incomplete data. While our team is here to offer support and guidance on resolving these issues, refunds cannot be issued for challenges related to missing information that could have been identified and addressed during the testing phase.
Unable to use manual imports for non-supported integrations. Our platform is designed to be as inclusive as possible of various exchanges and services. If you find that we don't currently support a specific service you use, we invite you to test our manual import feature during the initial phase before purchasing. While manual imports may require additional effort, they serve as a temporary solution until we can offer direct support. The necessity for manual imports due to the current lack of integration is not a basis for a refund.
Change of mind or want to hire an accountant. Deciding to manage your cryptocurrency taxes with our platform is a choice we greatly appreciate and support. Should you find the process overwhelming or decide to seek professional accounting assistance, we offer additional support services to help bridge the gap. However, choosing to move in a different direction after purchase, whether due to a change of heart or opting for an accountant, does not qualify for a refund.
6. Downgrades
If you don't want a refund but want to switch to a lower-tier plan, you can downgrade from account settings at any time. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal; you keep access to the higher tier until then.
7. Freemium package
The Freemium package is offered at no cost. As it is complimentary, refunds are not applicable.
8. Personalized service
If you purchase a personalized service, the scope will be limited to the agreed-upon hours of consultation support. Any additional services outside of this scope may be subject to additional charges. Personalized service fees, once consultation has been delivered, are not refundable.
9. User data responsibility
Kryptos provides a software tool to assist with crypto tax reporting. It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data entered into the software. You must review and, if necessary, correct your data. While our software is designed to facilitate tax reporting, we do not offer personalized tax services unless explicitly stated.
10. Cancellation and data retention
To cancel and request a refund, contact our support team at billing@kryptos.io. We retain user data for 60 days post-cancellation, after which it may be permanently deleted. Back up essential data before initiating a cancellation.
11. Additional fees for new integrations
Implementing new integrations or features may be subject to additional fees. You will be informed of any additional costs upfront. Refunds will not be issued on custom integration requests.
12. Changes to this policy
Kryptos may modify this policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date above. For significant revisions, we may notify users through alternate communication, such as email.
13. Disclaimer
Kryptos provides a software tool designed to facilitate crypto tax reporting. While we strive to offer accurate and reliable tools, we do not guarantee the correctness or completeness of any information available through our software or the results obtained from using it. The software is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of your data. Kryptos shall not be liable for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the software's calculations or reports, or for any actions taken in reliance thereon. This includes any financial losses or penalties incurred due to incorrect or incomplete tax reports.
Kryptos shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if Kryptos has been advised of the possibility of such damages) arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use our software.
