Huobi with Kryptos
Huobi Global, now rebranded as HTX, is a cryptocurrency exchange offering spot trading, futures, staking, and crypto loans. It supports a wide range of digital assets and provides features for both novice and advanced traders. HTX also offers enhanced security, deep liquidity, and access to DeFi platforms, making it a versatile option for cryptocurrency trading.
With Kryptos, you can easily track your HTX portfolio in real-time and gain insights into your holdings. Simply connect your HTX account through API or CSV (see instructions below). Kryptos consolidates your transactions, provides a comprehensive view of your assets, and keeps your tax reporting ready in the background.
On Kryptos
- Go to Integrations, click Add Integration, and select Add Custom Wallet.
- Name and create your wallet, then click on the wallet icon.
- Select Import File, download the Kryptos Sample File, and fill it with your transaction data.
- Upload the completed file and click Import Transactions to sync.
On HTX
- Log in to your HTX account.
- Select your Profile Icon in the top right corner.
- Choose API Management from the drop-down menu.
- Enter a name for your API key (for example, “Kryptos”).
- Under Permission Settings, ensure Read-Only is checked.
- Select Create.
- Read the risk warning pop-up, check the boxes, and select I Understand.
- Enter the Security Authentication Code sent to your email.
- Copy the Access Key and Secret Key
Good to know
- HTX provides only 4 months of trading data. We recommend using CSV imports.
On Kryptos
- Sign up on Kryptos.io using your Google account.
- Go to Integrations, click on Add Integration, and select HTX.
- Choose Import using API Keys, paste your API Key & Secret, and click on Import Your Transactions.
- For custom history, select Advanced Options to specify the date range.
On HTX
You will need to download multiple CSV files from HTX for an error-free accurate integration.
Order History:
- Log in to your HTX account.
- In the top right corner, select Orders.
- From the drop-down menu, choose Spot & Margin Orders.
- Select Order History.
- Set your date range (up to 4 months).
- In the top right corner of the Order History section, click the Export icon (it looks like a sheet).
- For data older than 4 months, you will need to send a Record Application. This application can be submitted to HTXi, and it may take up to 5 days for them to generate the data. Make sure to request a custom date range that covers your entire transaction history.
Transaction Records (for Futures Trading only)
- Log in to your HTX account.
- In the top right corner, select Assets.
- Choose the market where you have traded – Spot, Margin, Fiat, Futures, Earn, or Option.
- In the top right, select Trade History.
- From the left-hand menu, select Transaction Records.
- Choose the type of Future you traded – USDT-M Future, Coin-M Futures, Coin-M Perpetual.
- Repeat steps 3-6 for all types of trading you have participated in.
On Kryptos
- Sign up on Kryptos.io using your Google account.
- Go to Integrations, select HTX, and choose Upload CSV.
- Upload the downloaded file and click on Import Your Transactions.

How to Generate Tax Reports
Once you have integrated all of your wallets and exchanges, generating tax reports is straightforward:
- Go to Reports from the main menu.
- Scroll down and you’ll see the “Reports” section.
- Choose your desired report and click on the Complete icon to download the report.
How are HTX Transactions Taxed?
- Income Tax: If you earn rewards from staking, lending, or receive crypto payments, you may need to pay income tax.
- Capital Gains Tax: Profits from selling or disposing of crypto assets, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, are typically subject to capital gains tax.
Kryptos automatically calculates these taxes based on your HTX transaction data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

- Generate Secure API Keys: Ensure your API keys are read-only and store them securely.
- Regular Updates: Regularly update your API keys and review their permissions.
- Offline Storage: Store your API Secret key offline to prevent unauthorized access.
