Dymension is a hub that other small chains, called RollApps, settle to. Fees on the hub are paid in DYM.
Your account has two addresses: one starting dym1 and one starting 0x. They are the same account and the same money, and adding both would double your balance.
The other thing to know is that assets on a RollApp are not on the hub. If you have used one, its balance will not show up here.
What you get out of the box
Pick your import method.
On Dymension
- Open your wallet and copy your address. Keplr shows the dym1 form, MetaMask shows the 0x form, and either is fine.
- Add it once. The two forms are the same account, so importing both would count your holdings twice.
- If you hold assets on a RollApp, add that separately. It is its own chain with its own balance.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Dymension.
- Click the Dymension icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Good to know
- The dym1 and 0x forms are one wallet written two ways.
- Staking rewards sit unclaimed until you claim them, and unstaking takes 21 days.
- The launch distribution closed in January 2024. Unclaimed tokens were shared out among the people who did claim, so claimants received more than their original allocation showed.
One account, two addresses, and a lot of small chains
Dymension has the same dual-address arrangement as several other networks built on the same technology, and it causes the same problem.
Your wallet has an address starting dym1 and an address starting 0x. Same key, same account, same balance. Keplr shows you one, MetaMask shows the other. Nothing needs moving between them and nothing can be.
Import both and your position doubles. Worse, a tool may then interpret activity as transfers between two wallets you own, which look like movements that never happened. Add the address once, in whichever form your wallet gives you.
The second thing about Dymension is that it is a hub for other chains. RollApps settle to it, but they are separate networks with separate ledgers, and there are a great many of them. Tokens sitting on a RollApp are not visible in your hub balance at all, and the address on a RollApp usually looks different again.
So a complete picture needs the hub plus every RollApp you have used. If your holdings look smaller than you expect, that is the first place to look. For how transfers between your own wallets are treated, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Avoiding a doubled balance
One account, two address formats. Import it once and your holdings stay correct.
Finding assets held on a RollApp
RollApps are separate chains with separate balances. A hub import will not see them, so each one you used needs adding.
Claiming a RollApp token you paid for early
Buying into a launch gives you a placeholder token, which you later exchange for the real one. That is two steps for what feels like a single purchase.
Audit-ready, automatically.
Once your wallets and exchanges are connected, generating a tax report takes a single click. Open Reports from the menu, choose your jurisdiction, and download.
Two address forms, one position
The dym1 and 0x forms are the same account. Adding both doubles your holdings and can manufacture transfers between them that look like trades.
Staking rewards are income when claimed
Rewards accrue without appearing in your balance and stay there until you send a claim. The claim date is when you received them.
You may have received more than you were allocated
Unclaimed tokens from the launch distribution were shared among those who claimed. Anyone working from the allocation figure shown before the deadline will understate what they got.
A fast withdrawal is not a plain transfer
Skipping the waiting period means somebody pays you from their own funds and collects yours later. You receive money from a stranger's address, net of their fee, which is a cost worth capturing.
Read-only by design.
- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
- We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
- Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it
If something doesn't sync.
You have added both the dym1 and 0x forms of one account. Remove one.
RollApps are separate chains. Add the RollApp as its own wallet and its balance will appear.
That is usually a fast withdrawal from a RollApp. Somebody fronted you the funds rather than making you wait out the dispute period.
