zkFair is an Ethereum layer 2 whose distinguishing feature is that gas is paid in USDC rather than in a volatile token.
Your address starts with 0x. The chain is still running but sees very little use, producing blocks only when a transaction arrives rather than on a steady schedule.
One piece of its history is unusual enough to matter: most of its token supply was handed out in proportion to how much gas people had spent.
What you get out of the box

Pick your import method.
On zkFair
- Open your wallet and copy your address. It starts with 0x.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for zkFair.
- Click the zkFair icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Good to know
- Gas is paid in USDC, so each fee is a stablecoin disposal with almost no gain attached.
- Blocks are produced on demand, so long gaps between them are normal here rather than a sign the chain has stopped.
- There is no measurable lending or trading activity left.
Paying gas in dollars, and earning tokens for doing it
zkFair made an unusual choice: gas is paid in USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin, rather than in a token whose price moves around.
For everyday use that is pleasant, because a transaction costs a predictable number of cents. For your records it changes the character of every fee. On most chains, spending gas disposes of a volatile asset, and each fee carries a small gain or loss depending on what the token has done since you acquired it. Here each fee disposes of something pegged to a dollar, so the gain is essentially zero every time.
The fees are still disposals and still belong in a complete record. They are just uninteresting ones.
The more unusual part is historical. Most of zkFair's token supply was not sold or given to early users in the normal way. It was distributed in proportion to how much gas each address had spent on the chain. So the act of paying fees was itself the qualifying activity, and people who used the chain heavily received tokens for having done so.
That is worth spotting when reconstructing a year, because the connection between the two is not obvious: a long list of small stablecoin fee payments on one side, and a token arriving on the other, with nothing on chain tying them together. The tokens are income at the value when they arrived. For how that is treated where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Paying fees in a stablecoin
Because gas is USDC, each fee is a disposal of a dollar-pegged asset with essentially no gain, rather than of something whose price moves.
Accounting for the gas-based distribution
Most of the supply was distributed in proportion to gas spent, so spending fees was itself the qualifying activity.
Reading a quiet chain
Blocks arrive only when someone transacts, so a stale-looking head is normal rather than alarming.
Audit-ready, automatically.
Once your wallets and exchanges are connected, generating a tax report takes a single click. Open Reports from the menu, choose your jurisdiction, and download.
Fees are stablecoin disposals
Every transaction spends USDC. That is still a disposal, but of a dollar-pegged asset, so the gain or loss on each is close to nothing. Administratively dull, and still reportable.
Spending gas earned you tokens
The bulk of the token supply was distributed in proportion to how much gas each address had spent. That makes fee spending the activity that produced an acquisition, which is unusual and easy to miss when reconstructing a year.
The distribution is income at receipt
Tokens received that way are a receipt valued when they arrived, and that value becomes their cost for any later sale.
A quiet chain is not a dead one
Blocks here are produced on demand. A long gap does not mean the chain stopped, and balances remain readable.
Read-only by design.
- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
- We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
- Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it
If something doesn't sync.
That is correct. zkFair charges gas in USDC rather than in a volatile token.
Blocks are produced only when transactions arrive, so gaps of hours are normal on a quiet chain.
There is effectively no lending or trading activity left here.
