Celestia does one job for other networks: it publishes their data and keeps it available so anyone can check it. It doesn't run apps or smart contracts itself, which makes it refreshingly simple to track.
For someone holding TIA, that means the picture is small and clean. You hold it, you stake it, you vote with it, and you may have received some in the Genesis Drop. There are no pools, no lending positions and none of the wrapped-token tangles that come with trading networks.
The one thing worth understanding is staking. Rewards build up continuously without any transaction, so your history stays empty until the moment you claim.
What you get out of the box
Pick your import method.
On Celestia
- Open your Cosmos wallet. Keplr and Leap both work.
- Switch to Celestia and copy your wallet address. It starts with celestia1.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Celestia.
- Click the Celestia icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
What a TIA holder needs to report
Celestia is unusual among networks in how little there is to track. It doesn't run smart contracts, so there's no lending, no liquidity pools and none of the wrapped-token accounting that makes trading networks difficult.
What's left is transfers, staking, governance and the Genesis Drop. Two of those need care. The Genesis Drop needs a value on the day it arrived, which then becomes the cost you measure future gains against. And staking rewards build up without a transaction, so the only thing in your history is whatever you claimed, whenever you got round to it.

Rewards you can't find in your history
Celestia credits staking rewards continuously without creating a transaction. Nothing appears until you withdraw, which might be a year of rewards in one go.
A clean airdrop date
The Genesis Drop had a registration step and then arrived when the network went live, so there's a clear date to value it on. Most airdrops aren't that tidy.
Nothing else to untangle
Celestia doesn't run apps, so there are no pool tokens, no lending positions and no wrapped assets. What you see is what you hold.

They build up continuously and only the withdrawal is visible. Whether you report at accrual or at claim depends on where you file, so both are tracked.
The genesis drop needs a value
It arrived when the network launched, which gives a clean date to value it on. In most countries that value becomes both your income and the cost you'll measure future gains against.
Unstaking takes three weeks
Undelegating runs for the unbonding period before the tokens can move, and a validator that double-signs can start that clock for you.
Slashing reaches delegators
If the validator you staked with double-signs, part of the stake is taken, and delegators lose the same percentage. It's a loss you didn't choose.

- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything

If something doesn't sync.
Rewards build up without a transaction, so there's nothing to find until you claim them. Check whether you claimed in the period you're looking at.
A Celestia address starts with celestia1 and is longer than most Cosmos addresses. Copy the whole thing with no spaces at either end.
