API Import Manual Import

Bit2Me

Bit2Me is a Spanish platform, founded in 2014 and based in Elche. It is registered with the Bank of Spain and authorised by the CNMV as a crypto-asset service provider under the European rules, which for a Spanish resident means holdings there are domestic rather than foreign.

For personal accounts the route in is the export rather than a key. Bit2Me's connection is aimed at businesses and is arranged through its sales team, so individuals download their history instead.

The one thing to plan for: the activity export runs one calendar year at a time. There is no custom range, so several years means several files.

What you get out of the box

Buys and sells through the simple brokerage
Order book trades on the pro platform
Earn yield and its movements
Loans, including collateral and repayments
Wallet transfers in and out
Card and merchant payments
Fees across all of the above

Pick your import method.

On Bit2Me

  1. Go to Operations, then Activity History, and choose to download your activity.
  2. Pick the year. The export covers one calendar year, so repeat for each year you need.
  3. The file arrives as a spreadsheet listing every movement on the account with its details.
  4. Bit2Me also offers its own tax summary under Operations, which asks for your authenticator code. It is a summary, not a replacement for the activity export.

On Kryptos

  1. Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
  2. From the menu, click Integrations.
  3. Click Add Integration and search for Bit2Me.
  4. Upload the files you exported. If your API key still works, Import using API Keys pulls everything in one go instead.
  5. Check the imported totals against your own records before the exchange goes, while you can still look something up.

Good to know

  • The activity export is per calendar year with no custom range, so a three-year history is three files.
  • The separate tax summary needs a two-factor code, while the plain activity export does not.
  • That tax summary may be unavailable for the current year until it has been prepared, and for any year with no reportable activity.
  • Because Bit2Me is authorised in Spain, a Spanish resident is holding with a domestic provider, which affects which forms apply.

What being authorised in Spain changes

Bit2Me was the first company registered with the Bank of Spain as a virtual currency exchange and custody provider, and it is authorised by the CNMV under the European crypto-asset rules.

For a Spanish resident that is more than a badge. Reporting obligations differ depending on whether your assets sit with a domestic provider or a foreign one, and an authorised Spanish platform falls on the domestic side of that line.

What does not change is the gains themselves: those go on your annual return wherever the platform is based, and your return has to cover every exchange and wallet you used, not just this one. See the USA crypto tax guide and the UK crypto tax guide for how other countries handle the same question.

Two trading surfaces, one history

Simple buys and order book trades happen in different parts of the product but land in the same account. The export covers both, which is what you want.

Loans that can become disposals

Borrowing against your crypto is not a sale, but a liquidation is. If collateral gets sold to cover a position, that is a disposal you did not choose and it belongs in your report.

Yield separated from trading

Earn pays out on held balances. Those payouts are income when they arrive rather than part of what you later sell.

Audit-ready, automatically.

Once your wallets and exchanges are connected, generating a tax report takes a single click. Open Reports from the menu, choose your jurisdiction, and download.

Borrowing is not selling, liquidation is

Taking a loan against crypto leaves you holding it. If the collateral is sold to cover the loan, that is a disposal at whatever price it went for.

Yield is income when it arrives

Earn payouts count at the value they had on the day, and that value becomes the cost you measure against when you eventually sell.

Spanish residents file on worldwide gains

Gains go on your annual return regardless of where the platform sits. Holding with a provider authorised in Spain affects which informational forms apply, so it is worth checking which ones you need.

The platform summary is not your return

Bit2Me's tax summary is a convenience. It does not know about your other exchanges or wallets, and your return has to cover all of them together.

Read-only by design.

  • Create the key with read permission only, never withdrawal
  • A read-only key can see your history but can't move funds
  • Kryptos never asks for your password or login details
  • Revoke the key on the exchange at any time and the connection stops

If something doesn't sync.

My export only covers one year

That is how it works. Choose each year in turn and keep the files together.

The tax summary will not download

It needs your authenticator code, and it is unavailable for years with no reportable activity or for a current year that has not been prepared yet.

I cannot find a key to create

The connection is aimed at businesses and arranged through sales. Personal accounts use the export.
