Shibarium is a network built on top of Ethereum by the Shiba Inu team, made for cheaper and faster transactions.
Fees here are paid in BONE, not in SHIB. SHIB lives on Shibarium too, along with LEASH and the usual stablecoins, but BONE is what pays for transactions.
The thing to know if you hold SHIB in both places: the SHIB on Shibarium and the SHIB on Ethereum are separate tokens. Same holding, two versions, and how a tool handles that decides whether your portfolio reads correctly or counts everything twice.
What you get out of the box

Pick your import method.
On Shibarium
- Open the wallet you use for Shibarium. MetaMask and most others work once Shibarium is added.
- Copy your wallet address. It's the same one you use on Ethereum.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Shibarium.
- Click the Shibarium icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Why SHIB appears twice
When you move SHIB from Ethereum to Shibarium, the original is held on Ethereum and a matching one is issued to you on Shibarium. They represent the same holding, but they're separate tokens.
That's why Kryptos lists them separately rather than merging them: keeping them apart is what lets a transfer out find its matching transfer back. Add your Ethereum wallet as well as your Shibarium one so both halves are there. The UK crypto tax guide covers how disposals are pooled and reported.
Generating your report
Once your wallets are connected, open Reports from the menu, choose what you need and download it. Kryptos applies the rules for the country you've set.

SHIB in two places, counted once
Shibarium SHIB and Ethereum SHIB are separate tokens for the same holding. Kept apart they match up across the move; merged together they count twice.
Two ways across, one history
There are two routes between Ethereum and Shibarium, carrying different things and taking different amounts of time. Both have been paused at points, so a transfer out and its matching transfer back can sit a long way apart in your history.
High trade counts without the headache
ShibaSwap trades are disposals like any other and each needs a value attached. Doing hundreds by hand isn't realistic; they come through labelled.
Audit-ready, automatically.
Once your wallets and exchanges are connected, generating a tax report takes a single click. Open Reports from the menu, choose your jurisdiction, and download.
Trades count as disposals
Swapping on ShibaSwap is a disposal in most countries. BONE you spent on fees is part of the cost of what it paid for.
Moving funds over isn't a sale
Your asset is held on one side and a matching one issued on the other, then destroyed when you come back. Read at face value that looks like a sale each way, when you held the asset throughout.
The fee burn isn't yours to report
Since a 2024 upgrade, most of the fees collected on Shibarium are used to buy SHIB and destroy it. That's the network doing something, not you, and it isn't a taxable event for you. It is why fees here don't look like Ethereum's.
Read-only by design.
- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
- We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
- Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it
If something doesn't sync.
That's usually Ethereum SHIB and Shibarium SHIB showing as separate lines. They are separate tokens, and Kryptos keeps them apart so transfers between the two match up.
Add both your Ethereum and Shibarium wallets. Transfers have also been paused at times, which can leave a long gap between the two sides.
It's the same address you use on Ethereum. Copy the whole thing with no spaces at either end.
