The Quickbit app is no longer run by the company that built it. In August 2025 the app and its customers were taken over by a different Swedish group, and customers were onboarded again with fresh identity checks.
The original company had renamed itself and had its application for a European crypto licence rejected. It now works on payments infrastructure for businesses instead.
For your records, the practical consequence is that history from before the handover may not be in the app you use today.
What you get out of the box
Choisissez votre méthode d'import.
Before you start
- Check what your current app shows. It may only hold activity from after the handover in August 2025.
- Gather anything you saved earlier: statements, screenshots, emails, and your bank records of payments made.
- Your bank statement is a reliable record of what you paid, even where the app's history is gone.
On Kryptos
- Log in to Kryptos.
- Go to Integrations.
- Click Add Integration, then search for and select Quickbit.
- Click the Quickbit icon and choose Upload CSV.
- Upload the file. Kryptos reads it and categorises the transactions for you.
Good to know
- The app changed operators in August 2025 and required new identity checks.
- History from before then may not have carried across.
- Your bank or card statement independently records what each purchase cost you.
Who runs this now, and where your history went
Quickbit is a case where the brand you remember and the company behind it have come apart, which matters when you go looking for old records.
The company that built Quickbit renamed itself in early 2025. Later that year, the Swedish regulator rejected a subsidiary's application for a European crypto licence. In August 2025 the consumer app and its customers were handed to a different Swedish group, which onboarded them under its own identity checks. The original company now works on payments infrastructure for businesses.
For anyone filing, the useful question is where your transaction history is. If the app you use today only shows activity since the handover, older purchases may not be retrievable from it at all, and there is no guarantee the previous operator's records remain accessible.
The fallback is better than it sounds. You bought crypto with money, which means your bank or card statement records each purchase independently: the date, the amount and who it went to. That is enough to establish what your coins cost, which is the number that matters. Combine it with anything you saved at the time and the picture is usually reconstructable.
None of the corporate changes disposed of anything. Your holdings continuing under a new operator is not a sale, so the original cost carries forward. For how cost basis works where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Recovering history from before the handover
If the current app does not show older activity, your own saved records and bank statements become the source.
Establishing cost from payments
The amounts debited from your bank or card are a reliable record of what your crypto cost, independent of any app.
Understanding why you were asked to verify again
The new operator ran its own identity checks, which is why existing customers had to go through onboarding a second time.

Une fois vos wallets et plateformes connectés, générer un rapport fiscal ne prend qu'un clic. Ouvrez Rapports dans le menu, choisissez votre juridiction et téléchargez.
A change of operator is not a disposal
Your holdings moving to a new operator does not sell anything. It is the same position under different management, so your original cost carries through.
Missing history does not remove the obligation
If the app no longer shows older purchases, they still happened. Rebuilding them from bank records is the practical route.
Bank statements evidence what you paid
For a service where you bought crypto with money, the debit on your statement is strong evidence of cost even without the platform's own record.
Check whether anything was returned to you
Where a service changes hands or winds down parts of its business, balances are sometimes returned. Money coming back is worth identifying rather than treating as unexplained.
Lecture seule par conception.
- A file upload is read-only. Nothing connects to your account
- Kryptos never asks for your password or login details
- Delete an import at any time and its data goes with it
- Keep the original file: it is your evidence if anyone asks later
Si la synchronisation échoue.
The app changed operators in August 2025 and history from before then may not have transferred. Use your own records and bank statements.
The new operator ran fresh checks when it took over the customer base.
The original company has moved to a different line of business, so its site no longer reflects the consumer app.
