Oasys is a gaming network built in two layers. The Hub holds tokens and records, and each game runs its own separate chain called a Verse.

Your address is the same on all of them, and it starts with 0x. What differs is the balance: the Hub and every Verse keep their own, and one address can hold something different on each.

Gas is paid in OAS, but on a Verse the game usually pays it for you, so playing costs you nothing.

One address, many chains, many balances

Oasys looks like a single network and behaves like a collection of them, which is the main thing to get right before importing.

The Hub is where tokens and records live. Each game runs its own separate chain, called a Verse, with its own history and its own balances. Your address is identical everywhere, which is convenient and also the source of the confusion: one address, but a different set of holdings on each chain.

So importing the Hub alone will show you your OAS and very little else. The items from the games you played are sitting on their Verses, invisible to anything looking only at the Hub. Anyone whose Oasys balance looks emptier than expected should check there first.

Movement between the layers is a bridge. Sending assets from the Hub to a Verse leaves a record on both, for one movement of your own property. Nothing was sold, and counting each record as its own event would double it.

The other thing Verses do is pay your fees. Rather than making players hold a gas token, the operator of each Verse covers the cost, which is why playing feels free. The fee is still recorded against the transaction, so it can look like an expense you incurred. It is not, and adding it to what your assets cost you would overstate your basis.
