Best Wallet is a mobile wallet covering a wide range of networks, including Bitcoin and Solana as well as Ethereum-style chains. You hold your own keys, so you connect addresses rather than an account.
Before anything else, one factual point UK readers should know: the Financial Conduct Authority published a warning about this firm in March 2025, and it is still listed.
The rest of this page is about getting your records right, which is harder here than on most wallets because so much happens inside the app through other companies.
What you get out of the box
Choisissez votre méthode d'import.
In Best Wallet
- Copy your address for each network you have used. Bitcoin, Solana and Ethereum-style chains all use different formats.
- Add each one. A wallet spanning many networks means many addresses, and each holds a separate history.
- If you bought crypto inside the app with a card, keep those records too. The chain shows the arrival but not what you paid.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Best Wallet.
- Click the Best Wallet icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Good to know
- The wallet spans many networks, so a complete import means several addresses in several different formats.
- Buying, swapping and staking inside the app are run by other companies, so some records sit with them.
- Keys are split into shares rather than given to you as a single recovery phrase.
The FCA warning, stated plainly
If you are in the UK, this is worth knowing before anything else, and it is easy to state accurately.
On 13 March 2025 the Financial Conduct Authority published a warning about Best Wallet. The warning says the firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without the FCA's permission, and that it is not authorised by the FCA. As of September 2026 that warning is still listed and has not been amended since the day it was published.
It is worth being precise about what that is and is not. It is a warning about permissions: almost any firm promoting financial services in the UK needs FCA authorisation, and the FCA is saying this one does not have it. It is not a finding of fraud, and the FCA's own wording is conditional.
The practical consequence the FCA highlights is about recourse. If you deal with a firm it has not authorised, you cannot take a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, and you are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if something goes wrong. Those protections exist for authorised firms.
None of that changes how your crypto is taxed. Gains are gains and income is income regardless of a firm's regulatory standing, and using an unauthorised service does not remove an obligation to report. It does mean you are carrying more of the risk yourself, which is worth knowing.
Note also that UK rules for crypto firms are changing, with a new authorisation regime opening for applications. Whether this firm applies, and what happens if it does, is not something we can predict.
A wallet where a lot happens through other companies
Best Wallet does more inside the app than most wallets, and each of those features is run by a different company. That matters because it decides where your records live.
Buying crypto with a card inside the app goes through a payment service. The chain records the crypto arriving in your wallet, and says nothing about what you paid, because the money side never touched a blockchain. Without that purchase record, the coins have no cost, and selling them later looks like pure profit. Your card statement is the backstop.
Swapping across chains uses a routing service. That produces the same two-halves problem as any cross-chain swap: tokens leave on one network and different ones arrive on another from an address you will not recognise, with nothing connecting them.
Staking is offered through partner providers rather than run by the wallet, so the counterparty for that income is somebody else, and the records may sit with them.
The wallet itself is the straightforward part. Keys are split into shares rather than handed to you as a single recovery phrase, but it is still self-custody, and your on-chain history is readable from your addresses. The practical work is remembering that it spans many networks in several different address formats, so a complete import needs all of them. For how cost basis works where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Importing a wallet that spans many networks
Bitcoin, Solana and Ethereum-style addresses all look different and all need adding separately.
Buying inside the app
A card purchase sets what your crypto cost. The chain shows it arriving but not the price you paid.
Holding a token you bought in a presale
Presale tokens raise questions an ordinary purchase does not, particularly about when you acquired them.
Prêt pour l'audit, automatiquement.
Une fois vos wallets et plateformes connectés, générer un rapport fiscal ne prend qu'un clic. Ouvrez Rapports dans le menu, choisissez votre juridiction et téléchargez.
Card purchases set your cost, and the chain does not show it
Buying inside the app through its payment partner establishes what your crypto cost. On chain all you see is the arrival, so without the purchase record those coins have no cost and a later sale looks like pure profit.
Cross-chain swaps leave two halves that do not match
Swapping across networks disposes of one asset on one chain and acquires another on a different one, from an unrelated address. Both ends need importing to be recognised as one trade.
Presale tokens raise an acquisition date question
If you bought the BEST token in its presale, you paid at one point and the tokens became yours to use at another, months later. Which of those counts as the acquisition affects your holding period and, in some countries, the rate you pay. Worth asking rather than assuming.
Rewards earned before a token trades are hard to value
Presale staking accrued rewards while the token had no market price. Valuing something with no market is genuinely difficult and worth raising with an accountant.
Staking is run by other companies
Yield offered in the app comes from partner services rather than from the wallet, so the income has a counterparty that is not Best Wallet.
Lecture seule par conception.
- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
- We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
- Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it
Si la synchronisation échoue.
Check you have added an address for every network. Bitcoin, Solana and Ethereum-style chains are separate imports.
Card purchases are handled by a payment partner and are not on chain. Use the amount debited from your card.
There is not one that we could find. The chain is the record, along with your card statements for anything bought inside the app.
