opBNB is a layer 2 built on top of BNB Chain. It uses the same address format, and in fact the same address, as the one you already use there.
Fees are paid in BNB and they are extremely small, which is the point of the chain. It was built for apps that make a lot of transactions, mostly games.
Both of those facts cause record-keeping problems: one because the address is shared with another network, the other because a year on opBNB can run to thousands of transactions.
What you get out of the box
Elige tu método de importación.
On opBNB
- Open your wallet and copy your address. It starts with 0x and is the same address you use on BNB Chain.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for opBNB.
- Click the opBNB icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Good to know
- Your BNB Chain address and your opBNB address are identical. Kryptos tracks them as separate networks, because the balances and histories are separate.
- Sending opBNB assets to an exchange's BNB Chain deposit address is a common and usually unrecoverable mistake.
- There is very little lending or trading on this chain. If you are looking for liquidity positions, you probably do not have any here.
One address, two networks, and an expensive mix-up
opBNB shares its address format with BNB Chain, and your address on one is your address on the other. Convenient until it is not.
The mistake happens at exchanges. You withdraw to what looks like the right address, but pick the wrong network in the dropdown, and the funds arrive on a chain nobody is watching. The transaction succeeded, the tokens exist, and your exchange has no record of them. Sending a small test amount first costs almost nothing and avoids it entirely.
The same overlap affects your records. Import the address once and a tool sees one network. Import it for each and the two histories stay separate, which is what you want, because a token on opBNB is a different contract from the same token on BNB Chain. Our BNB Chain integration handles the other side. For how transfers between your own wallets are treated, see the USA crypto tax guide.

Keeping opBNB and BNB Chain apart
One address covers both networks, so a tool that reads it once will either miss half your history or merge two networks into one. Import it separately for each.
Handling very high transaction counts
Games on opBNB generate thousands of tiny transactions. Each one spends a fraction of a cent in BNB, and each is technically a disposal that needs pricing.
Bridging in from BNB Chain
Moving assets across is a transfer between wallets you own. Import both sides so it pairs up rather than reading as a sale and a purchase.

Una vez conectadas tus wallets y exchanges, generar un reporte fiscal es cuestión de un clic. Abre Reportes desde el menú, elige tu jurisdicción y descarga.
Thousands of tiny fees still count
Gas here costs fractions of a cent, which makes it tempting to ignore. A busy year of gaming can still produce thousands of small BNB disposals, and they belong in the total.
Bridging to yourself is not a sale
Moving assets between BNB Chain and opBNB leaves ownership unchanged. Import both sides and the legs pair up instead of reading as a disposal.
There is no staking here
opBNB pays no staking rewards. Any yield on your BNB comes from somewhere else, and the income comes from that arrangement.
In-game items are still assets
Tokens and items earned in a game are received at their value on the day, and selling them later is a disposal measured against that value.

- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
- We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
- Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it
Si algo no sincroniza.
They share an address but are separate networks. Add the same address again as an opBNB wallet.
You have probably sent from opBNB to a BNB Chain deposit address. Contact the exchange with the transaction hash; recovery is manual and not always possible.
That is normal for this chain. Games generate very high counts of low-value transactions, and Kryptos groups them rather than making you review each one.
