API Import Manual Import

Bitunix

Bitunix is a derivatives exchange with a spot side attached. Its main product is perpetual futures settled in a stablecoin.

It is better set up for tax reporting than most venues of its size, with a dedicated export and keys that are read-only by default.

What still needs attention is the same as any leveraged venue: funding payments arriving constantly, and liquidations.

What you get out of the box

Perpetual futures positions and settlements
Funding payments in both directions
Liquidations
Spot trades
Copy trading executed in your account
Earn products and the yield they pay

Elige tu método de importación.

On Bitunix

  1. Open the tax report section and use Download Transaction, choosing the date range you need.
  2. Or create a key through their tax interface. Those keys are read-only, so they cannot move funds.

On Kryptos

  1. Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
  2. From the menu, click Integrations.
  3. Click Add Integration and search for Bitunix.
  4. Choose Import using API Keys, paste your key and secret, then click Import Your Transactions.
  5. To pull a specific date range instead of everything, open Advanced Options before importing.

Good to know

  • Keys created for tax purposes are read-only by default, which is exactly what you want.
  • Identity verification is optional for crypto-only trading, so your account records may be thinner than on a verified venue.
  • The United States, Canada and several other places are not served.

A read-only key is all anybody needs

One thing Bitunix gets right is worth calling out, because most venues do not.

When you connect an exchange to a tax tool, the tool needs to read your history and nothing else. It does not need to place trades and it certainly does not need to withdraw funds. But on many exchanges the key you create can do all three unless you carefully restrict it, and plenty of people do not.

Bitunix makes keys created for tax purposes read-only by default. There is no permission to move funds to accidentally leave switched on. That removes an entire category of risk from the process.

It is worth applying the same principle everywhere else. Whatever exchange you are connecting, if the key you are about to create has withdrawal permission, you have given away more than the job requires. A tax import is a read operation.

The rest of the accounting here is the standard derivatives picture: funding payments arriving constantly on open positions, and liquidations closing positions against you at prices you did not choose. Both belong in your records. For how disposals are treated where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Pulling a full history for tax

The dedicated export covers spot and futures together, which avoids stitching two separate reports.

Recording funding on open positions

Perpetual positions pay or receive funding repeatedly, producing many small entries across a year.

Recording a liquidation

A liquidation is a sale you did not choose to make. When a position is closed against you, the assets are disposed of at whatever price the market gave, and the gain or loss is as real as any trade you placed deliberately. It is the most commonly missed event on any venue offering leverage.

Funding payments are frequent and small

Holding a perpetual position produces a continuous series of payments in both directions. They are not trades, but they move value and belong in a complete record.

Liquidations are disposals you did not choose

Copy trading produces your own disposals

Trades placed automatically in your account are yours, regardless of who chose them.

Yield products pay income

Returns from earn products are income when received, and that value becomes the cost of whatever you received.

Optional verification can complicate matching

Where an account was opened without identity checks, tying its activity to you rests on your own records rather than on the venue's.

Solo lectura por diseño.

  • Create the key with read permission only, never withdrawal
  • A read-only key can see your history but can't move funds
  • Kryptos never asks for your password or login details
  • Revoke the key on the exchange at any time and the connection stops

Do I need a full-access key?

No. Keys created through the tax interface are read-only, which is all an import needs.

My history has hundreds of small entries

Those are funding payments on perpetual positions.
