Conecta Bithumb Global con Kryptos.

Bithumb Global has gone. Every address it used is dead: one refuses connections, one returns an error, one cannot find its own server. There is no site, no support and no way to export anything.

It should not be confused with Bithumb Korea, which is a different company and still operating. Only the international arm closed.

So this page is about rebuilding a history from the outside, because nothing can be retrieved from the inside.

Three things called Bithumb

Before anything else, make sure you are looking at the right company, because at least three related names circulate and only one of them closed.

Bithumb Korea is a large, operating Korean exchange. It requires Korean identity verification and a Korean bank account, and it is still trading. If you have an account with a Korean bank linked to it, this page does not apply to you.

Bithumb Global, sometimes later called BitGlobal, was the separate international arm for customers outside Korea. That is the one that closed, and every address it used is now dead.

There is also a Hong Kong trust company with a similar name involved in custody arrangements for a wrapped bitcoin product, which is a different business again.

We are not going to give you a shutdown date, because the available accounts contradict each other. Reports point to 2023, but there are later accounts of the site still being reachable, and no announcement from the company was ever published that we can find. What is certain is that it is gone now.

For rebuilding your records, the good news is that the movements in and out are not lost. Every deposit and withdrawal happened on a blockchain and is recorded there permanently, so importing the wallets at either end recovers the dates and amounts. What is lost is the trading in between, which only ever existed on the exchange's own systems.
