WEMIX

WEMIX is a gaming network built by the Korean studio Wemade. Your address starts with 0x and gas is paid in WEMIX.

The chain runs normally, but 2026 was a hard year for it. Korean exchanges delisted the token in June, and the network suffered two separate security incidents.

The delisting matters for your records in a way that is easy to miss: it changed where a price for WEMIX comes from.

What you get out of the box

WEMIX transfers and gas
Staking, unstaking and reward receipts
Swaps and liquidity on WEMIX.Fi
NFT and in-game item transfers
Bridge movements to and from other networks

On WEMIX

  1. Open your wallet and copy your address. It starts with 0x.
  2. If you held on a Korean exchange, add that account too. Those records end at the delisting.

On Kryptos

  2. From the menu, click Integrations.
  3. Click Add Integration and search for WEMIX.
  4. Click the WEMIX icon, then choose Import using Address.

Good to know

  • Korean exchanges delisted WEMIX in June 2026, so pricing after that comes from thinner venues.
  • Staking rewards are paid out rather than compounded, so each is a receipt on its date.
  • Unstaking has a waiting period of about a week before the tokens are free.

What a delisting does and does not do to your position

In June 2026 the major Korean exchanges removed WEMIX from trading, following a court decision that went against Wemade. For a token whose holders are heavily Korean, that was a significant event, and it is worth being precise about what it means for tax.

It does not dispose of anything. Your tokens are still yours, on chain or wherever you held them. Nothing was sold and no gain or loss was realised by the delisting itself. Anyone treating it as a disposal would be inventing an event that did not happen.

What it does change is where a price comes from. Before, there were deep local markets producing a reliable figure. Afterwards, valuations rest on thinner venues, where the price can move further on less volume and different sources can disagree more than you would expect.

That matters because almost every number in a tax report is a valuation: what a reward was worth when you received it, what a disposal realised, what your holdings are worth at year end. If the underlying market got thinner, those figures carry more uncertainty, and it is worth knowing that rather than treating the output as precise.

The chain itself continues to run. For how disposals and valuations are treated where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Pricing a token after a delisting

Once the major venues stop listing something, a price still exists but comes from much thinner markets. That affects every valuation in your report.

Recording staking rewards

Rewards are distributed rather than rolled into your stake, so each arrives as its own receipt at that day's value.

Reconciling an exchange account that stopped

Korean exchange records end at the delisting. Anything after that happened elsewhere or on chain.

A delisting does not dispose of anything

Being delisted from an exchange does not sell your tokens. You still hold them, and nothing is realised until you dispose of them.

It does change your pricing source

After the major venues stopped listing WEMIX, a valuation has to come from thinner markets where prices can be less reliable. Worth knowing that a figure in your report may rest on much less liquidity than it used to.

Staking rewards are income when received

Rewards are distributed to you rather than compounded, so each one is a receipt valued on the day it arrived.

Unstaking is not a disposal

Requesting your stake back starts a waiting period of about a week. Your own tokens return to you and nothing was sold.

My exchange history stops in mid-2026

Korean exchanges delisted WEMIX in June 2026. Activity after that happened on chain or on other venues.

My WEMIX valuation looks unstable

Pricing now comes from thinner markets than before the delisting, so quoted values can move more than they used to.

Some bridges are not working

Following a security incident in July 2026, bridges and some pools were suspended. That is a network measure rather than a problem with your wallet.
