Telos runs two sides on one network, and they do not share an address. Telos Zero uses a short account name you chose. Telos EVM uses an address starting with 0x.
TLOS is the token on both sides. On the EVM side it pays gas normally. On Zero you do not pay per transaction at all: you stake TLOS to reserve capacity, and then transacting is free.
The expensive mistake here is withdrawing from an exchange to the wrong side. Most exchanges support only one of the two.

On Telos
- For Telos Zero, copy your account name. It is at most 12 characters, using lowercase letters, the digits 1 to 5, and full stops.
- For Telos EVM, copy your address starting with 0x. This is a separate address, not your account name in another form.
- Add both if you have used both. Moving TLOS between the two sides is a real transfer, not a change of view.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Telos.
- Click the Telos icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Good to know
- Your Zero account name and your EVM address are different addresses on the same network. Neither can be worked out from the other.
- Check which side your exchange supports before withdrawing. Several send only to Zero, and funds sent to the wrong side are usually lost.
- Staking to reserve capacity on Zero is not investment staking and pays no rewards. It buys you the ability to transact.
Two sides, two addresses, and the withdrawal that goes wrong
Telos runs a conventional Ethereum-style environment and an older account-based one on the same network. Most chains with an EVM give you one address. Telos gives you two, and neither can be derived from the other.
On Telos Zero your address is a name: at most twelve characters, lowercase, which you registered and paid for. On Telos EVM it is an address starting with 0x. A Zero account can generate a linked EVM address, but that is a deliberate action producing a new string, not a different view of the one you already had.
Where this costs money is exchange withdrawals. Support is split: some exchanges send TLOS only to Zero accounts, at least one sends to either. Pick the wrong destination and the withdrawal either fails or lands somewhere you cannot reach. Check the network options before you send, and send a small amount first.

The staking that is not staking
Telos has two things called staking and only one of them earns anything. Confusing them will either invent income you never had or hide income you did.
On Telos Zero you stake TLOS to reserve processing capacity. This is how a network with no per-transaction fee decides who gets to use it: lock up some tokens and you can transact freely in proportion. It pays no rewards. It is not a disposal, because the TLOS is still yours and comes back after a short waiting period. Treat it as your own money in a different pocket.
The things that do earn are REX and sTLOS. REX is a pool on the Zero side that lends out capacity and compounds roughly every half hour. sTLOS is a receipt token on the EVM side. Both grow in value rather than in quantity: your balance sits still and each unit becomes worth more TLOS.
That shape matters. There is no stream of daily reward transactions to record, so a tool looking for them reports zero income and a confused user assumes the position did nothing. The gain is real and it arrives all at once, when you withdraw from REX or redeem sTLOS. Redeeming sTLOS also takes ten days, during which the tokens are locked.

Holding on both sides at once
Many Telos users have a Zero account and an EVM address with separate balances. Both need importing, and moving funds between them is a transfer rather than a trade.
Earning through REX
REX compounds on its own roughly every half hour, so there is no stream of reward transactions. The position grows in value and the gain appears when you withdraw.
Staking into sTLOS
sTLOS is a receipt whose quantity never changes while each unit becomes worth more TLOS. Redeeming takes ten days and the tokens sit locked in the meantime.

Capacity staking is not an investment
Staking TLOS to reserve processing capacity on Zero pays nothing and is not a disposal. It looks like a stake transaction but it is buying the right to transact, and the TLOS comes back after a short wait.
REX and sTLOS both grow in value, not in quantity
Neither pays out rewards you can point at. The balance stays the same and each unit becomes worth more, so the whole gain lands when you withdraw or redeem rather than accruing daily.
Moving between the two sides is a transfer
Sending TLOS from Zero to EVM or back is a move between accounts you own. It leaves records that look like two chains, but nothing was sold.
Redemption takes ten days and locks the tokens
Unstaking sTLOS moves the tokens somewhere they cannot be sold or sent until the period ends. That is one economic event spread over several records and a couple of weeks.

Check which side you sent to. Several exchanges support only Telos Zero, and TLOS sent to an EVM address from one of those is usually unrecoverable. Contact their support quickly.
A Zero account only gets a linked EVM address once you generate one. Until then there is nothing to import on that side.
