Monad

Monad is a network of its own rather than a layer built on Ethereum, though it uses the same address format. One paste covers your whole position.

Fees are paid in MON. Blocks arrive roughly every 400 milliseconds, so an active wallet here racks up far more transactions than it would elsewhere, each with a small fee.

If you claimed the MON airdrop, that claim is your acquisition and its date sets the value.

What you get out of the box

MON transfers and gas spending
The MON airdrop claim
MON staking, delegation and reward claims
Lending on Aave, Euler, Morpho and Curvance
Swaps and liquidity on Uniswap and other exchanges
Yield positions on Pendle

On Monad

  1. Open your wallet and copy your address. It starts with 0x and matches your Ethereum address.

On Kryptos

  1. Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
  2. From the menu, click Integrations.
  3. Click Add Integration and search for Monad.
  4. Click the Monad icon, then choose Import using Address.
  5. Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.

Good to know

  • The airdrop claim window closed in November 2025. Anything unclaimed by then was forfeited and never became yours.
  • Staking rewards can be claimed or compounded. Compounding leaves no transaction at all, which is easy to miss.
  • Expect a long transaction list. Fast blocks mean a normal amount of activity produces an unusual number of records.

Rewards that leave no trace

Staking on Monad gives you a choice most networks do not, and one of the two options is invisible in your history.

Delegate MON to a validator and rewards accrue. You can take them, which produces a claim transaction with a date and an amount, exactly what a tax report wants. Or you can compound them, which adds them to your delegation so they start earning too.

Compounding produces no transaction. Your delegated balance grows and nothing records why. Somebody reconstructing a year from their transaction list will conclude they earned nothing, when the truth is they earned and immediately reinvested.

In most countries that reinvestment does not remove the income. You received value and chose what to do with it, and the fact that the choice was made automatically does not change the receipt. Kryptos reads the delegation from the chain so the growth is accounted for. For how staking income is treated where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Recording the MON airdrop

The claim transaction is when you received the tokens, not the earlier announcement or snapshot. Its date and price are what belong on your return.

Staking MON with a validator

You choose whether rewards are paid out or rolled back into your stake. The second option produces no transaction, so the income has to be reconstructed from the growing balance.

Handling a very long transaction list

Fast blocks and cheap fees mean heavy users generate thousands of records a year. Kryptos groups them rather than making you review each one.

The claim is the acquisition

You acquired MON when the claim transaction went through, not when the allocation was announced. Use that date and that price for both income and your starting cost.

An unclaimed airdrop is nothing

The window closed in November 2025 and unclaimed tokens were forfeited. If you never claimed, you never received anything and have nothing to report.

Compounded rewards are still income

Choosing to roll rewards into your stake rather than take them means no transaction appears anywhere. In most countries the reward was still received before it was reinvested, so it belongs in your income.

The public sale is a separate purchase

Anyone who bought MON in the public sale acquired it at a price they paid, which is a different cost from airdropped coins. Keep the two lots apart.

Standardmäßig schreibgeschützt.

  • Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
  • A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
  • We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
  • Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it

My staking rewards are missing

Check whether you chose to compound them. Compounded rewards go straight back into the stake without producing a transaction, so nothing shows in your wallet history.

My airdrop has no value

Set the acquisition to the date the claim confirmed. Kryptos prices it from there rather than from the announcement.

I have thousands of transactions

That is normal here. Blocks are extremely fast, so ordinary activity produces far more records than on a slower chain.
