Bybit cut back its wallet products sharply in 2025. The Cloud Wallet and Keyless Wallet were both retired on 31 May 2025, along with the in-wallet swap and bridge, the NFT marketplace and several other services.
What survives is the Seed Phrase Wallet, an ordinary self-custody wallet with a recovery phrase, along with onchain staking and access to outside apps. If that is what you use, connecting is straightforward.
If you had a Cloud or Keyless wallet, the position is different. Those were closed, and users were told to move assets to the Seed Phrase Wallet or to their Bybit account. Bybit provided a way to export keys from a Keyless wallet so funds could still be recovered afterwards.

On Bybit Wallet
- Open the Seed Phrase Wallet and check which networks you hold assets on.
- Copy the address for each. Ethereum-style networks share one address; Bitcoin, Solana, TRON and the others have their own.
- Connect your Bybit exchange account separately. The wallet holds your own keys; the exchange account does not.
- If you moved assets out of a Cloud or Keyless wallet before it closed, add wherever they went so the move pairs up.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Bybit Wallet.
- Click the Bybit Wallet icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Good to know
- Cloud Wallet and Keyless Wallet were retired on 31 May 2025. Only the Seed Phrase Wallet remains.
- The in-wallet swap and bridge ended on the same date, so anything that looks like a swap after that came from an outside app rather than from Bybit.
- Onchain staking survives and still produces income.
- Assets moved out during the wind-down were transfers, not sales, but only if both sides are connected.
What changed, and what it means for your records
Bybit retired a lot of its wallet products in 2025. The Cloud Wallet, the Keyless Wallet, the NFT marketplace and the in-wallet swap and bridge all closed on 31 May, leaving the Seed Phrase Wallet, onchain staking and app access.
For your tax report that has two consequences. First, none of the old activity disappeared: swaps you made in the wallet in 2024 are disposals in 2024, whatever happened to the feature afterwards. Second, whatever you did to get assets out during the wind-down was a transfer, not a sale, and it only reads that way if you have added wherever they went.

History that outlived the products
Cloud and Keyless wallets are gone, but what you did in them still belongs in the tax years it happened in. The on-chain record survives the product.
Wind-down moves that were not sales
Shifting assets out of a retiring wallet is a transfer between your own accounts. Add both ends and it reads correctly.
Staking income kept separate
Onchain staking survived the cuts and still pays rewards, which are income when they arrive rather than part of a later sale.

The wind-down moves were transfers
Moving assets out of a Cloud or Keyless wallet before it closed did not sell anything. It only looks like a disposal if the destination is missing from your records.
Old activity still counts
Swaps made in the wallet before the service ended are disposals in the years they happened. A product being retired does not undo them.
Staking rewards are income
Onchain staking pays rewards valued when you receive them, and that value becomes the cost you measure against later.
The wallet is not the exchange account
One holds your own keys, the other holds assets for you. Different records, and if you used both you need both.
