MEXC with Kryptos
MEXC is a global cryptocurrency exchange offering spot trading, futures, and margin trading for a wide variety of digital assets. It provides features like staking, token listings, and access to decentralized finance (DeFi) projects. MEXC is known for its high liquidity, user-friendly interface, and support for both beginners and experienced traders.
With Kryptos, you can easily track your MEXC portfolio in real-time and gain insights into your holdings. Simply connect your MEXC account through API or CSV (see instructions below). Kryptos consolidates your transactions, provides a comprehensive view of your assets, and keeps your tax reporting ready in the background.
On Kryptos
- Go to Integrations, click Add Integration, and select Add Custom Wallet.
- Name and create your wallet, then click on the wallet icon.
- Select Import File, download the Kryptos Sample File, and fill it with your transaction data.
- Upload the completed file and click Import Transactions to sync.
On MEXC (Currently Disabled)
- Log in to your MEXC account.
- Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select “API” from the dropdown menu.
- Enable read permissions for the API key.
- Click “Create” to proceed.
- Verify via email or 2FA and confirm the action.
- Save the API Key and API Secret securely for future use.
Good to know:
- MEXC APIs return only 7 days of trading and 6 months of wallet history.
- We suggest using the CSV files to avoid errors and incomplete data for MEXC integration.
On Kryptos
- Sign up on Kryptos.io using your Google account.
- Go to Integrations, click on Add Integration, and select MEXC.
- Choose Import using API Keys, paste your API Key & Secret, and click on Import Your Transactions.
- For custom history, select Advanced Options to specify the date range.
On MEXC
To download the entire trading history, you’ll have to download the following:
- Withdrawals and Deposit history
- Spot trade history
- Futures trade history
- Withdrawals and Deposit historysome text
- Log in to your MEXC account.
- Click on Wallets in the top-right corner.
- Select Funding History from the dropdown.
- Click on Export.
- Under Type, select Deposit.
- Choose a date range (maximum 12 months).
- Click Generate and then Confirm to download the report.
- Repeat the process for Withdrawals.

- Log in to your MEXC account.
- Click on Orders in the top-right corner.
- Select Spot Orders and go to the Trade History tab.
- Click on Export Trade History.
- Under Trading Pair, select All, and under Side, select All.
- Choose a date range (maximum 12 months).
- Click Generate and then Confirm to download the report.
- Futures Trade historysome text
- Log in to your MEXC account.
- Click on Orders in the top-right corner.
- Select Futures Orders and go to the Trade History tab.
- Click on Export Trade History.
- Under Trading Pair, select All, and under Side, select All.
- Choose a date range (maximum 12 months).
- Click Generate and then Confirm to download the report.
On Kryptos
- Sign up on Kryptos.io using your Google account.
- Go to Integrations, select MEXC, and choose Upload CSV.
- Upload the downloaded files and click on Import Your Transactions.

How to Generate Tax Reports
Once you have integrated all of your wallets and exchanges, generating tax reports is straightforward:
- Go to Reports from the main menu.
- Scroll down and you’ll see the “Reports” section.
- Choose your desired report and click on the Complete icon to download the report.
How are MEXC Transactions Taxed?
- Income Tax: If you earn rewards from staking, lending, or receive crypto payments, you may need to pay income tax.
- Capital Gains Tax: Profits from selling or disposing of crypto assets, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, are typically subject to capital gains tax.
Kryptos automatically calculates these taxes based on your MEXC transaction data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

- Generate Secure API Keys: Ensure your API keys are read-only and store them securely.
- Regular Updates: Regularly update your API keys and review their permissions.
