Transak is a service for buying crypto with a card or bank transfer. Most people meet it inside another app rather than on its own site, so plenty of users bought crypto through Transak believing they bought it in MetaMask or their wallet.
Your crypto goes straight to your own wallet. There is no balance to check and nothing left behind, which means the purchase is the only record that ever existed.
And getting that record out is harder than it should be, because there is no export.
What you get out of the box

On Transak
- Go to Transak's site and open the menu, then My Orders, to see your purchase history on screen.
- Search your email for Transak receipts. Each purchase generates one, and together they are the most complete record you have.
- Also check the app you bought through. Its own history may show the purchase from the other side.
On Kryptos
- Log in to Kryptos.
- Go to Integrations.
- Click Add Integration, then search for and select Transak.
- Click the Transak icon and choose Upload CSV.
- Upload the file. Kryptos reads it and categorises the transactions for you.
Good to know
- There is no CSV or statement to download. The history is on screen and in your email only.
- The rate you were quoted includes a margin over the market price, on top of any fee shown.
- The app you bought through may have added its own fee, so two people paying the same headline price can have paid different amounts.
What to do when there is no export
There is no download here. No spreadsheet, no statement, no export button. What you get is a list on screen and an email for each purchase, and that is the whole record.
That sounds worse than it is. An on-ramp purchase is a simple event: on this date, you paid this much money and received this much crypto. A receipt containing those three things is a complete record, and Transak emails one for every order.
So the practical approach is to search your email rather than hunt for a download. Collect the receipts, and check the on-screen order list to make sure none are missing. Between them you can rebuild the whole history and enter it, which is genuinely all that is needed.
The one thing to be careful about is the amount. Transak quotes a rate that already includes a margin over the market price, and the app you bought through may have added a fee of its own on top. Neither is necessarily broken out for you. What is reliable is the figure your bank or card charged, and that whole amount is what the crypto cost you.
It is worth doing properly, because this is often the only record of where a holding came from. Your wallet can show the coins arriving; only the receipt shows what you paid for them. For how cost basis works where you file, see the USA crypto tax guide or the UK crypto tax guide.

Reconstructing purchases with no export
With nothing to download, your email receipts and the on-screen order list are what you have. Both are enough to establish what you paid.

Because the margin is inside the rate and a partner app may have added its own fee, the only dependable figure is what left your bank or card. Use that as the cost of the coins.
Buying is not taxable, but it sets the number that is
The purchase itself creates no liability. It establishes the cost that every later disposal is measured against, which is why losing it is expensive.
Selling back to cash is a disposal
If you used Transak to sell rather than to buy, that realises whatever gain or loss had built up.
Two identical purchases can have different costs
Partner apps set their own additional fee, so the same amount of crypto bought through two different apps can genuinely have cost different amounts.
