Injective is a network built for trading. Its order book runs on the network itself rather than in an app on top, which is unusual, and it carries spot markets, perpetuals, dated futures and a few things you won't find elsewhere.
INJ pays every fee on the network, secures it through staking, and votes on how it's run. It can also be posted as collateral for derivatives instead of a stablecoin.
One thing to get right before you start: your Injective wallet has two addresses that are the same account. One starts with inj1, the other looks like an Ethereum address. Add either and you've added the account, but don't add both expecting two portfolios.
What you get out of the box
Pick your import method.
On Injective
- Open your Injective wallet. Keplr, Leap and MetaMask all work.
- Copy your wallet address. It starts with inj1.
- If your wallet shows an Ethereum-style address instead, that's the same account in a different form. Either one works.
On Kryptos
- Go to Kryptos.io and sign up with your Google account.
- From the menu, click Integrations.
- Click Add Integration and search for Injective.
- Click the Injective icon, then choose Import using Address.
- Give the wallet a name, paste your address, and click Import Your Transactions.
Why trading here needs more than a trade log
A spot trade is straightforward: you swapped one thing for another and there's a gain or loss. Injective's derivative markets aren't that.
Holding a perpetual generates funding payments in both directions for as long as the position is open, separately from whatever you make or lose when you close it. Margin gets posted and returned. Positions get liquidated. And on eligible markets the maker fee is negative, so placing an order pays you rather than costing you.

Derivatives that aren't all the same thing
Spot, perpetuals, dated futures and index products are different instruments and most countries tax them differently. Reading them all as trades produces a report that's wrong in a way that's hard to spot.
Rebates counted as income
Maker fees on eligible Injective markets are negative, meaning you get paid for placing the order. That's income arriving, not a discount on a cost, and tools routinely record it the wrong way round.
One account, two addresses
Injective wallets have a Cosmos-style address and an Ethereum-style one for the same account. Kryptos resolves both to a single portfolio rather than showing your balance twice.

Once your wallets and exchanges are connected, generating a tax report takes a single click. Open Reports from the menu, choose your jurisdiction, and download.
Funding payments go both ways
Holding a perpetual means paying or receiving funding regularly, depending on which side you're on. Those are their own events, separate from the profit or loss on closing the position.
Maker rebates are income
A negative fee means money came in. Recorded as a reduced cost it understates your income for the year.
Winning the burn auction is a disposal
The weekly auction sells a basket of collected fees, bid in INJ. Win it and you've disposed of INJ in exchange for a basket of many different assets in one go, each needing its own value on the day.
Unstaking takes three weeks
Undelegating runs for the unbonding period before the tokens are yours to move. Switching between validators is immediate and doesn't start that clock.
Read-only by design.
- Kryptos only ever needs your public wallet address
- A public address is read-only. It can't move or spend anything
- We never ask for your recovery phrase or private key
- Remove a wallet whenever you like, and its data goes with it
If something doesn't sync.
You've likely added both forms of the same account. The inj1 address and the Ethereum-style one are one wallet, not two.
Check that the wallet holding the margin has been added. Funding, margin and the position itself all need to be present for the numbers to reconcile.
Rewards build up without a transaction, so nothing appears until you withdraw them. Check whether you claimed in the period you're looking at.
